Back in 1908, a group of women walked into the streets in New York announcing a strike for the low pay and terrible conditions in the factories where they earned a living. It was the first time the world saw a massive movement made by this part of human beings. In the upcoming year, the Socialist Party of America realized the importance of this march and organized National Women’s Day. The idea about equality and women’s right to vote did spread worldwide which lead to a day being recognized as International Women’s Day.
The International Women’s Day theme 2022 is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”.
In today’s world, we all have seen news focusing on the harassment that people face in the workplace or at home. People are being vulnerable to threats and are being suffered. Instead, of focusing on male or female dominancy, it’s time to focus on the highest good of mankind as a whole.
All the people in this world have the right to choose, the right to believe, and the right to do what they wish unless and until it’s not a hindrance to any other creature on the planet. It’s just finding the right balance for a smooth ride - the right balance between men and women.
On this women’s day let’s join our hands together and work in harmony to build up a better world for all the creatures down the sky. Let’s stop focusing on the type of work or the type of lifestyle or the type of gender that one chooses. Let’s stop harassment, let’s stop violence, let’s stop betrayals. Let’s cherish peace, love, and humanity, encourage each other to come out of the barriers, pull them up, boost them to climb the peaks that they were feared to move on. Let’s not just focus on women but on the entire human race, doing things for the betterment and happiness.
May this year be a good start to new beginnings. Wish wonderful days and wonderful upcoming years to all the women and all the men, to all the women who don’t give up on themselves, to all the men who stand as strong pillars of support to all women in their lives. Stop marginalizing, focus on unity for a strong and stable nation.
